Yesterday was the opening of an exhibition of (ideas for) products inspired by Zeeland. If you have followed me and my work, you’ll know I have a variety of products inspired by the history and folklore of this region in the Netherlands. I made a so called “paeremes” (knife with horses) last year. I send in the idea to make replicas of this design or an original “pearemes” through 3D printing with the possibility to add a logo or inscription.

My idea was selected among 49 other ideas and products. They range from bedlinen to seaweed crisps, from bags to salt and sweet liquorice. I think these last are my favourite, bringing together the sweet and the salt (as seawater and fresh water come together in zeeland too) in the shape of a mussel. But than I’m a sweet tooth ;) I wrote another bog about the exhibition for Zeeuwse Branding too, read it here (in Dutch).

The exhibition runs until the 16th of Januari.
